In this 15 minutes video projection-performance, we are exploring the shadows of one’s body: the formal as well as the metaphorical ones. What kind of dialogue can be had with one’s own shadows? What can they say to the dancing subject? Dialogue with one’s shadows questions the essence of movement when it resonates with various materials and sounds. Which movements and which parts of the body silhouette are the most expressive? The dialogue leads the audience into a confusion between the virtual and the real world, and questions the difference of emotions produced by each dimension. What remains after a performative act, do we feel the narrative? Does it contain a sort of aura? Is it a relic? The three elements that make the installation are performance remains’. They are the documentation of the trace from three perfor- mative acts. There is no more identity, just a body’s shell without head, a turned off laptop and slime. Is it strong enough to bring a new narrative? Each performer has an alarm designed for the performance on his/her phone.When the phone starts ringing, the performer puts his/her hood, stops what he/she is doing and walks toward the box to write a text’s fragment on the box. The text disappears quickly. When he/she has finished to write the fragment of text, he/she removes his/her hoodie and comes back to his/her occupation until the next alarm. Each performer has eight fragments of text to write. Loop of 17 min 20 sec. The scientists talk about our body as a world in itself. I like that. I like to think that everyone that walks on the earth is also a world. In this work, my body is a world to be discovered by 53 snails. Four of them are transformed; they are hybrid as they carry a little camera on their house, which films the experience and allows the spectator to see the context in which the event took place: a photo studio. The snails can be defined with mixed terms: inoffensive, naïve, disgusting, lo- vely, and so on. One snail is always inoffensive but what about 53? The relation between an individual and a collective interest me. There is a complexity and a tension in finding a way to live together. I spent one month with the snails in my studio and one part of the project was to meet the snails in a very intimate way. At times it approaches an erotic encounter, as I give away my defenses and offer myself for a given time. At other time it becomes nearly invasive, as I am one and they are many, they occupies my body. They invade this given land. How do we live together? How do the snails encounter this new ground, this new organism?It was important that the machine was in a way perceptible in the film. The machines have transformed our perception. They are our companions, new living forms that are living among us and within us. Four snails are with camera, hybrids; little cyborgs. These four snails are the witnesses, they will tell. Throughout the camera, they will tell. The red light flashes. They will tell us but will we be able to read it? Loop of 22 min 33 sec. If you allow it, this hypnotic video produces an illusion of suspended time. Wild like a snail is designed as a sort of still life or vanity. The snails are crawling slowly on my laptop, so slowly that you almost wonder: Is it just photography? Then the video composition running in loop in the laptop contradicts the idea of plain image and brings a contrast as it is showing wild animals peacefully seating together. These animals would only be found together in a dream or a sort of lost paradise. The first one draws a motive on the plastic, the second one throws the Pepper on the drawing, while the third one stay still, shaking the Spray, and waiting for her turn.&nbsp;The roles are switched in every angle of the structure.
